Should I become a Notary before taking the CSA class?

It is not necessary to be a Notary Public before attending the Signing Agent seminar but those who wish too work as Signing Agents must understand that they must first become a Notary Public in and for the state in which they plan to notarize loan documents.

A Signing Agent is a commissioned Notary Public in their state, non Notaries cannot act as Signing Agents.

You can place you notary application before the class or wait until you obtain the materials at the class.
